Europe is becoming increasingly multicultural. Does this coincide with further understanding and becoming more welcoming towards those who are different ?
Personally, do you feel comfortable and able to connect with those whose origins or worldview significantly differ from yours? When was the last time you invited someone who’s not your skin color, not of your culture or religion and doesn’t share your value system, over for lunch?
Jesus cared for people. He didn’t care for their appearance or country of origin. Whether Romans, Jews, Samaritans, or Syrophoenicians Jesus cared for them, visited them in their homes and was interested in their challenges, needs, and eternal interests. And it is only because they knew how much he cared, that they cared about how much he knew.
All hearts have the same color. “Multicultural caring” will help you to connect and relate with those you might have been passing by so far.
